Ghanaian/ Jamaican Dancehall musician Mo’ Spence says 60 percent of Ghanaian musicians are wasting their time on music and it would be better they venture into other things.

According to the singer who is born to a Ghanaian mother and a Jamaican father, you need money and talent to succeed as a musician and it unfortunate most Ghanaian musicians lack that.

“I have been around for a while now and studied the Ghanaian music industry and trust me most of the musicians are just wasting their time and need to be told the truth.

The truth is just one, you need to have a lot of money to do this music thing and talent also counts and I don’t see that with our Gh musicians.

They would be doing themselves a lot of good if they focused on other things rather than music. The reason the Nigerians are ahead of us is because they have the money and the talent”.

“I don’t want to mention names of the artistes who should quit music and do other things but they know themselves.

….In Ghana the likes of Stonebwoy, Sarkodie, Shatta Wale, Kidi, Black Sherif, Kuami Eugene and just a few others are doing great but majority of our musicians are wasting their time on music.

Music is not luck, you need proper planning to succeed. You don’t blow just luck, in fact you need to work for that” she told Graphic Showbiz in an interview last Tuesday at the Fiesta Hotel in Accra.

Away from that Mo’ Spence is busily promoting her newest E P Whine Down Low. Songs on the EP recorded by sound engineers Kaywa, MOG Beatz, Kilson Beat and Cashtwo beats are Eno Be Easy, Stay Up, Champion, Anything For Love and Whine Down Low.

“I want the best for myself so I always go in for that. I made sure my team and I went in for the best directors for the videos because my brand matters to me a lot. I cannot just put anything out there” she said.

She is currently promoting Whine Down Low and according to her the reception for it is great and she knows soon the EP and the other songs on it will be everywhere.
