From March 4 to March 11, 2024, Busto-Arsizio, Italy will host the World Qualifiers for boxing, a crucial step toward the 2024 Paris Olympic Games.

The Ghana Boxing Federation (GBF) has strategically split the Black Bombers into two groups. While some prepare for the African Games in Accra, others embark on the journey to Italy for the World Olympic Qualifiers.

In Italy, seven male boxers will represent Ghana: Theophilus Allotey (Flyweight), Alfred Kotey (Light Middleweight), Jonathan Tetteh (Light Heavyweight), and Mark Kodjovi Ahondjo (Heavyweight). Additionally, two female boxers, Janet Acquah (Flyweight) and Anatu Mohammed (Lightweight), will showcase their skills on the international stage.

Dr. Ofori Asare will lead the coaching team, supported by Vincent Akai Nettey.

Meanwhile, back in Accra, the African Games boxing events will run from Friday, March 15, to Saturday, March 23, 2024, across venues such as the Trust Sports Emporium, Bukom Boxing Arena, and Ga Mashie Hall. Bout selection through balloting is scheduled for Thursday, March 14, 2024.
