Olumanba

Political Activist Emmanuel Abankwah Kesse widely known as Olumanba has once again condemned the payment of ex-gratia to MPs after every four years.

According to him, it is a great disservice to leave office as an MP rich whiles the constituency you represented is impoverished and undeveloped.

“Every MP is like a shepherd and the constituencies and the people they represent are like sheep on a pasture. A good shepherd makes sure his sheep are fed well before he even eats, so I expect our MPs to develop our constituencies before they think about their personal gains”, he explained.

He added that it is high time we amended article 71 that mandates them to go home with this huge sum of money as ex-gratia.
