Paulina Oduro, a veteran Highlife singer, and actress has said that acting in Ghana does not pay well.
According to Paulina, Ghana’s current film industry is plagued by insurmountable obstacles.
She feels that the film industry should focus on educational content since she believes that the youth need to avoid negativity.
Speaking in an interview with Fiifi Pratt on Accra-based Kingdom Plus 101.9FM she stated that acting is currently unprofitable in Ghana, implying that aspiring actors should concentrate on their education before pursuing a career in the film industry.
She instructed film producers to treat veteran performers with respect and not to take them for granted once they had been in their films.
She bemoaned the poor writing skills of some scriptwriters while recounting how she was paid 500gh for a movie.
