Alhaji Said Sinare

H.E Alhaji Said Sinare, the National Vice-Chairman of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC), has mocked Nana Addo Dankwa Akuffo Addo’s government for raising petrol prices and making life unbearable for Ghanaians.

The outspoken NDC bigwig has joined a chorus of Ghanaians concerned over the country’s continuous fuel price hikes.

H.E Alhaji said Sinare lamented that fuel outlets belonging to persons within the major opposition NDC don’t want to break the 8, therefore they still sell the fuel at Ghc7.99 in a Facebook post to vent his frustration on the Nana Addo / Bawumia led NPP government.

The NDC fuel stations across the country don’t want to break the 8. They are still selling at ghc7.99.

The fast and erratic increases in fuel prices continue to be a hassle to already suffering Ghanaians as it is responsible for the high cost of goods and services in the country, he stated in his short Facebook post.

He began his brief remark by saying that the country’s high cost of goods and services is due to the country’s rapid and irregular increases in fuel, which is to be blamed for the country’s high cost of goods and services.

Currently, some public transportation unions have announced that fares will be increased beginning Monday, February 21, 2022, because the Ghana Private Road Transport Union (GPRTU) has announced that commuters should expect an increase in transport fares beginning Saturday, February 26 due to an abnormal increase in fuel prices.

Imoro Abbas, the Union’s Public Relations Officer, said in an interview with the media that they are currently engaging the government on what percentage of the upward adjustment should be.
