Viewers on DStv and GOtv can look forward to thrills and spills from the world’s best basketball league, with ESPN and ESPN 2 the premier venues for coverage of the National Basketball Association (NBA). The 2021-22 season will continue through the week of  Friday 18 to Thursday 24 March 2022.

DStv and GOtv is your home of the Entertainment and Sports Programming Network.

The first of two live Regular Season games being broadcast this week arrives on the morning of Saturday 19 March and sees the Los Angeles Clippers welcome the Utah Jazz to the ‘City of Angels’ (03:00 LIVE on ESPN).

The Clippers will hope Reggie Jackson continues his fine recent form, having inspired them to a clutch win over the Rockets in which he racked up 26 points. “We’re playing great team ball,” Jackson said. “It’s not an individual thing. It’s my teammates doing everything right. They’re allowing the floor to be opened up.”

The Jazz, meanwhile, have come through a rocky patch and re-asserted themselves as a powerhouse in the Western Conference, notably defeating the Phoenix Suns away from him a short while ago.

Jazz coach Quin Snyder said the team’s deep, unselfish roster allows him to be more creative with substitution patterns and allowing in-form players to stay on the floor in important situations. “We’ve got a group that’s willing to accept that,” Snyder said. “… It’s really important and I think it’s unusual.”

The second live game arrives on the evening of Sunday 20 March and sees the Portland Trail Blazers visiting the Indiana Pacers (21:30 LIVE on ESPN 2).

The Trail Blazers’ first-year coach Chauncey Billups is hoping his team can find a greater level of consistency, especially when they take on teams such as Indiana, whom they would expect to beat. “We had a couple of good moments, but we weren’t able to sustain, for the most part. But we played hard, I’ll give us that credit,” said Billups.

The Pacers are looking to improve their attacking play as the end of the Regular Season approaches, with coach Rick Carlisle urging his team to work hard to create offensive openings for three-point shots.

“It is important for us to play with pace and play randomly and play with an unselfish spirit to get shots,” Carlisle explained. “So letting our guys play is a really important thing.”
