The people of the Kluw enclave in the Savannah Region of Ghana were full of excitement when they finally got connected to a reliable telecommunications network service system on Sunday 10th April 2022.
The official commissioning of the network tower witnessed some sub-chiefs from the area, Assemblyman of the Abromase Electoral Area, Imams, and the youth joining the Member of Parliament for the Salaga-South Constituency Hon. Hajia Zuwera Mohammed Ibrahimah with the support of MTN staff officially outdooring the project at Abromase in the Kluw Area.
Addressing residents at a durbar after the official commissioning, Hon. Hajia Zuwera who was full of joy extended her deepest appreciation to ATC Ghana, Telecommunication Service Provider MTN- Ghana, Kluwwura, Kasawura, Chiefs of the area, Assemblymen and the people of the area for supporting the initiative.
She was confident that the project will enhance economic activities, security and general improvement in the standard of living of indigenes of the Kluw enclave.
The Assemblyman of the Abromase Electoral Area Hon. Karimu Sulemana alias ‘Accra Boy’ in a speech indicated that access to a reliable network had been a major development concern of the people of Kluw for decades and he is happy to join the MP Hon. Hajia Zuwera together with the service providers to officially outdoor the project.
He expressed appreciation to the MP Hon. Hajia Zuwera for facilitating the project.
Alhaji Yakubu led prayers on behalf of the Imams of Kluw asking for Allah’s blessings for the Hon MP, Hajia Zuwera and prayed for the peace and prosperity of Kluw.
He expressed the appreciation of the network by the people of and committed it in the hands of Almighty Allah.
The Kasawura Mr. Kwame Kwabena who spoke on behalf of the chiefs thanked the MP Hon. Hajia Zuwera and prayed for Allah’s blessings for her.
The beneficiary communities include Abromase, Kigbatitor, Silmunchu, Telkpa, Kiyaghe, Kijewu, Jemtutu, Akamade, Sarkingonakura, Buma and surrounding areas.
It would be recalled that in February 2021, Adom News carried a report on the area titled “Abromase: A Ghanaian Community where residents hang phones on trees for signal” and also depicted it with a picture.
This and many other distressing pleas from the people of Kluw further motivated the MP of the area, Hon Zuwera Ibrahimah to commit herself to ending the “zero signal” situation in Kluw.
By sheer providence, Accrape a community in the Kafaba ward of the Salaga-South constituency and which had also been suffering no network coverage got the signal when the 80 foot Abromase tower was commissioned on Sunday.
Accrape was set agog with excitement following this development. Earlier in the week, the Hon MP had been represented by her party officials at the commissioning of a similar tower at Yakubupe.
The officials who represented the Hon MP were Mr Kassim Rabiu, Mr. Lawal Awari and Mallam Tahiru Imoro.
The commissioning of the Abromase tower brings to three (3) telecommunication towers facilitated by the Hon. MP to be built in the Salaga-South Constituency to boost telephone communication and internet service in the Salaga-South Constituency.
