Vice President of the Ghana Boxing Federation (GBF), Mr. Dauda Fuseini has lauded the Besesaka Boxucation as a great initiative to support juvenile boxers in Ghana.
Speaking at the launch of the 2022 programme under the theme “Equipping Young Boxers For A Better Tomorrow” at the Osu Presby Hall on Sunday, he commended the Besesaka Foundation for their good work in supporting young talented boxers.
He advised the boxers made up of boys and girls to be disciplined as sports is all about discipline and thanked Besesaka as their next God on earth, by adding value to their lives and awarding them scholarships as well as other logistics to make life meaningful even after boxing.
He presented a cash donation of 500ghc to support the Foundation.
Besesaka Foundation is a community organization that combines boxing, education, and leadership to unlock the full potential of children in Jamestown.
Besasaka organizes a 10-week boxucation that brings together 50 juvenile boxers from Jamestown on a yearly basis for a career development programme.
Key activities include development classes, lego lessons, painting, videography, and photography.
Present at the event was former IBO lightweight champion, Emmanuel ‘Game Boy Tagoe’ and coach Carl Lokko who also advised the young boxers.
