The Public Sector Workers Union says it expects government to show commitment to meet their demands with the seven days ultimatum given to it.

The Union says since it is the largest worker Union it will be in the interest of government to show leadership and avoid the biggest labour unrest.

The Union has served notice of strike from Tuesday, July 19, 2022, after serving a seven-day notice to the National Labour Commission.

Speaking to GBC News, Chairman of the Public Service Workers Union, Ken Koduah, insists that the worker’s COLA issue must be addressed.

He said government did not show much interest in their demand for COLA since it was raised last year, and this has led to the current threat of the strike.
