The flagbearer of the main opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) John Dramani Mahama has stated that the 2024 general election is critical to the party.
He said the NDC will leave no stone unturned to win the elections.
Addressing party supporters during his Greater Accra Regional tour, the former president indicated that the 2024 election is do-or-die for the NDC since they remain committed to ensuring that victory is their portion.
“This election is a critical one for us, is a do-or-die affair for us and we are not going to leave any stone unturned to win this election. We don’t want to cheat and we don’t want anybody to cheat on us,” Mr. Mahama vowed.
He charged Ghanaians not to give up in the face of the current economic hardships because will lead to an honest and capable administration that will turn the economy of the country around, give good governance to the people and restore prosperity to the nation.
According to him, “The second term rule of the NPP government has been characterized by widespread despondency, brought about by severe hardships, the rising cost of living, low real wages, high levels of youth unemployment, massive utility hikes, rising petroleum prices at a time of declining world crude oil prices, reduced productivity in agriculture and manufacturing, collapsed businesses and increasing poverty. Ghana has now become a byword for corruption.”
