Award-winning Ghanaian Dancehall Artist Shatta Wale is gearing up to set the Alliance Francaise Accra on fire on Saturday 24th June as a Special Guest Performer at this year’s Kuchoko Roots Festival.

Shatta Wale, formerly Bandana has global monster hits “Dancehall King”, “My Level” and “We taking over” among others.

He is also known for Already from Beyoncé’s Black is King Album which featured Major Lazer.

It appears the stage is set as fans count down the last days to this year’s edition of the much-anticipated “Kuchoko Roots Festival”, organised by the Kuchoko Master Blakk Rasta.

The annual Kuchoko Roots Festival has grown over the years to become a treasured tradition for reggae music enthusiasts.

With a diverse lineup of artists spanning various genres, this year’s edition promises an unforgettable experience that celebrates the universal language of melodies and rhythms.

Months of meticulous planning and preparation culminate in the grandeur of the Kuchoko Roots Festival.

The air is filled with palpable excitement as attendees can’t wait to embrace the festival spirit, with a colourful exuding, and infectious energy from all artists on the night.

The festival grounds are a melting pot of cultures, ages, and backgrounds, united by their shared love for music.

Artistes billed for the event include Taj Weekes from St. Lucia, Qshan Deya from St. Vincent, Ras Simposh and ZMo from Burkina Faso, Ras Kuuku, Ras Boumba, Konkarah Jah Vibes, and Blak Mexxiah.

Others are Ras Preachaman, Mighty Orthodox Band, and The Vibration Kings Band.

Also, a special Kuchoko guest for 2023 is Samuel Owusu, a highlife legend.

MCs for the event are King Lagazee and Ras Kwame Malcolm.
