As political activities geared towards the June 27, 2023, Assin North by-elections gather momentum, the Zongo President of the Opposition National Democratic Congress, H.E. Alhaji Said Sinare, has advised the residents of the area against voting for the candidate of the NPP who would help his party continue to drag the country back to the dark ages of taxes.

The former National Vice Chairman of the opposition National Democratic Congress, H.E. Alhaji Said Sinare, has said it would be dangerous for Assin North to vote for an inexperienced parliamentary candidate of the NPP into power who is only coming for the NPP to have its numbers in Parliament to impose more taxes on the already burdened Ghanaians.

Alhaji Sinare’s warning is contained in a statement on his Facebook handle posted on Monday.

He also cautioned that the ruling NPP must not be voted to power, saying the party was responsible for bringing the country into this sorry, zero-idealistic situation.

The outspoken top gun of the opposition NDC said it would be too risky for the people of Assin North to hand over their future to the Parliamentary candidate of the ruling NPP, which has plunged the country into an economic massacre.

Speaking to the media, the Founder of Zongos for NDC, Alhaji Said Sinare, urged the youths within the Assin North Constituency to place competence over undue influence in their choice of a member of Parliament in the by-election.

He stressed that the by-election offers the residents a fresh opportunity to negotiate their future and determine the direction in which the country should go.

He, therefore, cautioned them against making mistakes by bringing an unprepared, clueless, and inexperienced candidate of the NPP into power who is coming to work for the NPP in Parliament but not them.

He endorsed the Parliamentary candidate of the NDC to be retained, saying Nana Addo’s endorsement of the NPP Parliamentary candidate is not a currency for the party’s candidate to spend anywhere.
