SuperSport, the biggest sports broadcaster in Africa, allows viewers on GOtv the chance to see one of Africa’s top footballers, Ghanaian midfielder Thomas Partey, in key Premier League action this coming weekend.

GOtv now offers the Supa+ package, which will allow viewers greater access to the Premier League than ever before. Subscribe or upgrade to Supa+ to watch all the thrills and spills from England’s elite division.

Partey played a major role in Arsenal’s push for the Premier League title last season, and although the Gunners fell short against the machine-like efficiency of Manchester City, they nonetheless exceeded expectations and sparked hope that a return to trophy-winning form is not far away.

Partey joined the Gunners in mid-2020 from Atletico Madrid and has gone on to feature in over 100 official matches for the London club. His robust but classy work in the middle of the park is perfect for the demands of the Premier League, and he should be an even more effective performer now that he is joined in the ‘engine room’ by the brilliant Declan Rice.

The Ghanaian international, who has over 40 Black Stars caps under his belt, was linked with a move away from the Emirates Stadium in the offseason. The lure of major money from the cash-flush Saudi Pro League was dangled in front of Partey, but he opted to instead remain with Arsenal.

One Gunners legend who is very happy that the 30-year-old will be staying put, at least from the foreseeable future, is Robin van Persie. He said of Partey: “If there is any player in that Arsenal dressing room that impressed me greatly, it is no other person than Thomas Partey. He was great, and you could see his distributions in that Arsenal midfield, and he scores too.

“Losing such a player without a brilliant replacement will really affect Arsenal, and [amager Mikel] Arteta knows this. He needs to stay and help them do great [this] season.”

Partey will look to help Arsenal claim all three points at the Emirates Stadium on Saturday afternoon when they welcome Fulham for a London derby – a match you can see LIVE on SuperSport Blitz, SuperSport Maximo 360 and SuperSport GOtv Football.
