The Boxing Road to Paris, in the Ring at the World Qualifying Tournament happening at the Indoor Arena of the Huamark Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand has brought another sad news as Light Middleweight -71Kg, Ghana’s Henry Malm lost on unanimous point decision to Mohammed Rachem from Belgium.

Malm, a product of the Discipline Gym near the Ussher Fort in Ga Mashie said it was a painful exit but will be back bigger as he has learnt many things in the competition and about boxing.

“It was a dream to come from Professional to Amateur to fight for my country, I am very happy and proud of myself and Ghana, at least I won one bout in the keen competition,” he said.

The second World Olympic Boxing Qualifiers saw 579 boxers from 133 countries fighting for 51 slots.
