Nsoatreman FC clinched the 2023/24 MTN FA Cup by defeating Bofoakwa Tano FC on penalties in a thrilling final.

The match which took place at the University of Ghana Stadium ended 1-1 draw after extra time. Nsoatreman FC secured the victory with a 5-4 win in the penalty shootout.

Richard Dzikoe scored first for Bofoakwa Tano in the 21st minute with a close-range shot, assisted by Ali Alhassan’s cross from the left.

Despite strong performances from both teams, particularly in the last fifteen minutes of the first half, Nsoatreman equalized in the closing moments of the second half when Sadat Mohammed capitalized on a goalkeeper’s mistake to score with a long-range hit.

With no additional goals in extra time, the match moved to a penalty shootout. Nsoatreman FC triumphed, winning 5-4, and lifted the 2023/24 MTN FA Cup trophy.

As champions, they will represent Ghana in the CAF Confederations Cup for the 2024/25 season.

Nsoatreman FC secured a hefty GHC 180,000 prize after clinching the 2023/24 FA Cup trophy in a thrilling final clash.
