An illustrious and a seasoned politician on the ticket of the New Patriotic Party, Mr. Emmanuel Oppong Boakye-Yiadom (Prof OBEY), who is the Director of international Programs and Partnership of the NPP National Youth Wing, the then Parliamentary aspirant for Manso-Nkwanta Constituency in 2020 and 2024 respectively, erstwhile NPP Germany Branch Youth Organizer and former UCC Tescon Organizer has externalized that, he is chuffed with Dr. Bawumia and the Party leaders for nominating and approving the signature of Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh as the running mate.
Mr. Emmanuel Oppong Boakye-Yiadom, colloquially known as ‘Prof OBEY’ uttered this statement at the unveiling ceremony of Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh which was climaxed yesterday at the Jubilee Park in the Ashanti Region.
He was delirious with ecstasy when he was intersected with the press. In his initial utterance, he resonated the vivacity at that ambience with the interviewers in order to affirm that, the mettle exuded by the NPP flagbearer, Dr. Bawumia to appoint Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh (NAPO) was spot on and expected of the indigenes within the Ashanti Region, thus, the atmosphere is filled with saturnalia.
He stressed that, the root of the NPP is from the Ashanti Region and they have given them the rightful candidate, hence such Piccadilly – Circus.
He was rosy that, those throngs would be the ones to bequeath power to them, the NPP in the forthcoming elections.
When he was quizzed that, there have been a general perception that, the NPP ticket, predominantly, Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh is frail or better still punny.
He swiftly disregarded that presumption and further on denoted that, the same hallucinations and raving happened to the current president, H.E. Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo after he divulged his propensity in vying for the presidential prerogative.
Some people expressed, he was supercilious and otiose chants and tags were mounted on him, same as what we are perceiving around Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh but here is Nana Akufo Addo today: he is the president of this country almost ending his second term.
He outlined that, it is one of the political gimmicks instituted by the opposition Party, the NDC.
Mr. Emmanuel Oppong Boakye-Yiadom (Prof OBEY) emphasized that, Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh isn’t a minnow or neophyte in the Party, therefore, he has inextricable camaraderie with their partisans already and due to his unfettered Political experience and exposure, he won’t be succumbed to the lies circulating around him by the NDC architects and partisans.
Additionally, in response to John Mahama saying, he is the originator of the free SHS policy, Mr. Emmanuel Oppong Boakye-Yiadom (Prof OBEY) repulsed him by saying that, en route to that promise issued by Nana Akufo Addo, John Mahama and his ilks were saying, it is ‘ 419 ‘, that’s deceitfulness, to the extent that, Mahama stated emphatically that, if Ghana was having that whopper amount of Gh¢ 2 billion, he would have invested into something of significant value and not the implementation of the free SHS or free education etc.
Upon saying all these things, why does he want to be credited with something he deemed it as a pledge of utopianism? Mr. Emmanuel Oppong Boakye-Yiadom (Prof OBEY) questioned John Mahama. However, his assertion that, he engendered free SHS is preposterously irrelevant.
Moreover, he indicated that, their 24 – hour economy policy is a sheer deceit because, even in the advanced Countries they don’t transcend their business hours into the late night.
He said, that’s why they are struggling to enlighten the populace about the magnitude and practicality of that said policy.
The NPP policies are palpably implementable and their leaders have the technical know – how and the wherewithal to materialize them.
Therefore, let us assess the free SHS policy _ it was gallantly pledged and it has been auspiciously executed.
According to the Africa Education Watch (Eduwatch), the government’s flagship programme, the Free SHS has benefitted over 2.5 million Ghanaians students’ since its inception in September 2017.
The individual performances of the students have skyrocketed exponentially. On top of that, Prempeh College and St. James Seminary SHS have enjoyed international academic mileage under the aegis of this policy. Therefore, the NPP’s policies are well – defined and attainable.
Eventually, Mr. Emmanuel Oppong Boakye-Yiadom (Prof OBEY) accentuated that, Ghana needs a youthful entities, who do have prominent and promising policies to facilitate developments in the shape of Dr. Bawumia and Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh, where, Dr. Bawumia at the UPSA auditorium on Wednesday, 7th February 2024 divulged his intentions to institute over 70 – agenda developmental plans, whereas he gave legendary recognition to the Ghana Jobs and Skills Project (You – Start) implemented by GEA and host of others, unlike John Mahama and Prof. Naana Jane, who are arrant fuddy – duddies.
He then discovered that, even the running mate to the NDC flagbearer, Prof. Naana Jane during her leadership as the Minister of Education abrogated all the allowances, which were paid to the people (nursing training, teacher training, TAs) in that field on a flaccid rationale. In effect, we should discard the quest for their presidential pursuit.
He chanced on that platform and solicited the electorates to vote for Dr. Bawumia and Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh in the upcoming elections for the perpetual amelioration of this country Ghana.
