The 14th edition of the Korean Ambassador’s Taekwondo Championships which is scheduled for the 27th July, 2024 at the Trust Sports Emporium is aimed at selecting and preparing junior athletes for the Youth Olympics Games in Senegal 2026.

The inter-regional championships organised by the Ghana Taekwondo Federation (GTF) and sponsored by the Embassy of the Republic of Korea, will see athletes between the ages of 13 and 17 compete in Kyorugi and poomsae.

With 5 weight categories in each gender for both juniors and cadets kyorugi, athletes will battle for the ultimate medal while also competing for bragging rights, selection and overall best athlete accolade.

Registration for the 14th KAC which was opened to Ghana Taekwondo registered athletes on Thursday, June 20, closes at 12:00am, on Monday, July 15, 2024.

A Referees Seminar is however scheduled for July 15, 2024 at the Korean Sports Complex.

‘Mission to Senegal 2026 Junior Olympics’ is expected to see a great competition from the previous 10 regions that the GTF operates, with the overall best region also at stake.

For easy transportation to the venue, organisers have scheduled a bus to convey athletes and coaches to and from the venue.
