Horace Nii Ayi Ankrah of the NDC Party has turned his focus, this week, on the President of the republic describing him as the “most decorated failure to occupy the presidency” and called on him to spare Mahama and Ghanaians and “concentrate on his last few months at the presidency to hopefully make a positive mark.” He said.
Speaking on the back of the recent comment by the President to John Mahama about galamsey and debating Bawumia, the seasoned politician and strategist asked “is this the President who has failed in all aspects of his office; the economy, employment, fight against corruption, food security, government borrowing, respect for law and order, respect for our chiefs, housing, good health-care, cost of living, lacks accountability, disregards consequences but focuses on trivial matters and fails to respect boundaries. One who, unfortunately takes his behavior personally?” Mr. Ankrah asked.
“The kairos of the President’s comments in an area that he has boldly and confidently failed, the fight against galamsey to the detriment of Ghanaians, is unfortunate and must be condemn by all and sundry” Ankrah continued.
Referring to a country that he believes is now “weak and ashamed” under the NPP administration due to so many ills Mr. Ankrah went on to say that “how can you question John Mahama in a fight that you have taken eight years but have failed and still failing to handle?”
“Historically, policy-wise, galamsey-wise, choice of Running-Mate-wise and protecting the Ghanaian, one can confidently say that President Akufo-Addo has failed just like Herbert Hoover did.” he concluded.
