Horace Nii Ayi Ankrah has noted that the current NPP administration has shown little or no effort at all with our neighbours in the sub-region and the African continent “in striving to build more amicable political relationships and closer economic ties, further security cooperation and encourage people-to-people exchanges with neighbouring countries to ensure growth as previous administrations did.”

He noted that the NPP administration has done very little in diplomacy and international relationships and he is of the view that “the inexperience being exhibited by the NPP Presidential candidate and his Running-Mate is worrying and will not auger well for the country when Bawunia is elected president by accident; an accident that must be avoided at all cost.”

According to Mr. Ankrah, in this week’s interview, diplomacy is an important area that Bawunia has failed to “exhibit brilliance in his days as Vice-President, hence the need for Ghanaians to look at the more experienced John Dramani Mahama and his globally recognised Running-Mate Jane Naana Opoku Agyemang.”  Mr. Ankrah stressed.

In an age where interdependence is vital, the former Chairman of the NDC UK/Ireland Chapter is of the view that the “noise of Ghana Beyond Aid by Akufo-Addo and Bawumia turning into a crippled Ghana veiled with economic failure is partly due to their inability to understand and use the cardinal points of diplomacy and international relations namely, sense of mission, urgency, competence, responsibility, drive and enthusiasm, which Bawumia and Napo lacks.”  Ankrah noted.

“This is no conspiracy theory but a fact that as soon as you lack such qualities you are destined to compromise your sovereignty, national security and development.”

Mr. Ankrah made it clear that diplomacy and international relationships, which are very crucial aspects of development, is “a John Mahama forte based on friendship, reciprocity, sincerity and inclusiveness among those I have already listed and they are all areas that both Bawumia and Napo have not shown strength especially when it comes to sincerity.” Mr. Ankrah stated in conclusion.
