Accra, Ghana – March 10, 2025 – The Emerging Public Leaders of Ghana (EPL Ghana) announces the opening of applications for the 2025 Public Service Fellowship (PSF) in partnership with Mastercard Foundation and the Public Services Commission of Ghana.
EPL Ghana’s Public Service Fellowship is a one-year highly competitive youth leadership development programme for strengthening public service delivery in Ghana.
The fellowship programme targets brilliant young Ghanaian graduates between the ages of 22 and 32 years, with a demonstrated leadership potential, who have completed one-year mandatory national service and are eager to influence systems change within the public service.
EPL Ghana has increased the number of fellows to be admitted into the 2025 fellowship programme by 29% and is seeking to offer 45 exceptional candidates public service job opportunities. Young women, persons living with disabilities, and Mastercard Foundation Scholars, who are eligible, are encouraged to apply.
“This year’s fellowship presents a significant step forward in our mission to strengthen public service delivery that truly reflects the diversity and dynamism of young leaders in our nation. Core to EPL Ghana’s mission is our quest to advance gender parity and inclusion within the public service. Engaging brilliant young Ghanaians with unique experiences from diverse backgrounds, especially young women and people living with disabilities, will further enrich the public service workforce and the voices that shape our public policies and service delivery to respond to the needs of all Ghanaians” said Ms. Juliet A. Amoah, Country Director of EPL Ghana.
The PSF is now in its seventh year and is designed to attract, develop, and retain the next generation of exceptional and ethically conscious public service change leaders eager to drive innovation and excellence in Ghana’s public service.
“Being even more ambitious for gender, diversity and inclusion with this year’s cohort allows us to harness untapped talent pools and create pathways to public service careers for traditionally underrepresented groups,” explained Elizabeth-Zionita Akorfa Dzah, Programmes Manager at EPL Ghana. “Our experience shows that diverse teams deliver better results. By attracting brilliant young Ghanaians and empowering them to become system change champions and drivers of professionalism, we will influence the pace for strengthening public service institutions and improving responsive public services delivery, and be more effective in addressing our developmental challenges.”
EPL Ghana’s fellowship offers all successful applicants a one-year sponsored participation in our carefully curated, comprehensive, and experiential learning programme designed to nurture the leadership potential of selected Fellows. The training equips Fellows with the essential skills and knowledge to excel in a job placement in Government Agencies including Ministries, Departments, and State-Owned Enterprises.
Applications for the 2025 Public Service Fellowship are open from March 10 to April 21, 2025. The application form for this year is hosted on our ‘Nyansapo’ Knowledge Portal and can be accessed via the application link https://fellowships.eplghana.org/applicants/sign_up.
