Accra, Ghana–[24-11-2025]—Ghana’s cybersecurity stakeholders—comprising industry, public sector and international organisations/development partners are set to converge for the official launch of a new book titled “The Republic: A Professional Journey, Ghana’s Cybersecurity and The Making of a Role Model Country”, authored by Dr. Albert Antwi-Boasiako, a Cybersecurity Expert and the Former Director-General of the Cyber Security Authority, Ghana.
The book will be launched on Tuesday, November 25, 2025, at the British Council, Accra, at 6:00 p.m.
A Story of Vision, Collaboration and Impact
The Republic chronicles nearly 15 years of Dr Antwi-Boasiako’s pioneering work in Ghana’s cybersecurity landscape, spanning his contributions across both the private and public sectors.
Structured in five compelling parts, the book weaves together the professional journey of the Author, his work in the private sector through the founding of e-Crime Bureau and his work in leading and establishing Ghana’s cybersecurity institutions, including the establishment of the Cyber Security Authority.

The book offers readers an in-depth insight into:
Ø The author’s journey from private-sector to public-sector leadership.
Ø Ghana’s cybersecurity journey from a formative stage to a tier-1, role model country (from 32.6% in 2017 to 99.27% in 2024 according to the ITU’s Global Cybersecurity Index)

Ø Behind-the-scenes insights, policy decisions, strategies and the collective sacrifices that shaped Ghana’s cybersecurity ecosystem.

The Republic represents a historical narrative, chronicling the foundations, turning points, challenges and collaborative efforts that propelled Ghana to global recognition in cybersecurity. The book offers valuable lessons for institutional building and public sector leadership.

The event will feature high-level speakers from government, academia, industry, and the international community, including Dr Albert Antwi-Boasiako (Author), Mr Divine Selase Agbeti (Director-General, Cyber Security Authority), Mr Patrick Awuah Jr (President, Ashesi University), H.E. Laura Ranalli (Italian Ambassador to Ghana), and Mr C.K. Bruce (CEO, Innovare).
H.E. Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, the fifth President of the Fourth Republic of Ghana, is the Special Guest for the event.
About the Author
Dr Albert Antwi-Boasiako is a Cybersecurity Expert, an Institutional Builder and the former Director-General of the Cyber Security Authority (CSA) of Ghana.
He founded the e-Crime Bureau in 2011 and served as the firm’s Principal Consultant until 2017 when he was appointed first as the Cybersecurity Advisor to the government and subsequently the first Director-General of the CSA. Dr Antwi-Boasiako is also the author of “The 10 Commandments for Sustainable National Cybersecurity Development – Africa in Context: Practical Lessons and Good Practices.”
