The Centre for Plant Medicine Research – Mampong Akuapem again has been deservedly awarded the Outstanding Research and development company (herbal medicine) at the just ended Ghana Business Standard Awards.

The award, a feather in the cap for their diligence and work output all year was indeed the icing on the cake on the night, on the back of having been conferred the honour of being the herbal company of the year in the recently held Ghana pharma Awards.

“The Centre for Plant Medicine Research is gradually exploring research opportunities to meet the exacting needs of both patients and industry. As part of its goal of gaining the highest recognition in the development of plant medicine, the Centre would not by any means halt research activities but rather keep engaging with various partners to achieve greater works,” said the Executive Director, Dr. Kofi Bobi Barimah after receiving the award.

He beamed from ear to ear as he acknowledged the players who through diverse ways contributed their efforts to project the institution’s name.

Adding that:  “the Centre was determined with a great resolve to make Plant medicine relevant in the research industry in order to help improve the coverage of safe herbal medicine practices.”
