The Head Coach of the Senior National Team, the Black Stars Charles Kwabena Akonnor, has called on Ghanaian football loving fans to troop to the Cape Coast Sports Stadium and fill stands to rally big support for Black Stars as they take on the Walia Ibex of ETHIOPIA on Friday, September 3, 2021.

Coach Akonnor was speaking at a mandatory FIFA press conference held at the Media Center at the Cape Coast Sports stadium on Thursday, September 2, 2021. He said the time has come for all supporters of the game to come together and offer support for the team to record some great victories in the upcoming FIFA World Cup Qualifying matches.

“Usually, I want to appeal to the nation, to all our football-loving fans to come in numbers, those who will be able to come and support us those who will be watching the game at various homes keep your fingers crossed for us, this is our moment this is our time and so we need your support to make it, without you, it’s always difficult,” he said.

The Black Stars opened camp in Cape Coast on Tuesday, August 31, 2021, and will play Ethiopia today Friday, September 3, 2021, at 7 p.m.

All FIFA World Cup Qualifiers will be live only on GTV Sports+ and all GBC Radio and TV channels and Digital channel platforms.
