The MacDan Foundation as part of its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) has donated a brand new Nissan 4 x 4 pickup (NP300 Hardbody) to the Gadangme Youth Association at a ceremony at Abokobi, a suburb of Accra.

The gesture forms part of the Foundation’s commitment to support and facilitate the works and activities of the Association to effectively and efficiently discharge its duties and operations.

Presenting the vehicle on behalf of the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of MacDan Group of Companies, Dr. Daniel Mckorley, the representative, Mr. Bernard Korle said the move is in fulfilment of a promise made by the Chief Executive Office to enhance the works of the Association.

He said the Foundation have recognised the Association’s contributions towards supporting Gadangme youth in every field of endeavours which the Group’s Chief Executive Officer has contributed in diverse ways by rolling out educational schemes, training in technical and vocational skills and the construction of football astro turf to unearth the talents in the youth to enable them become promising stars and celebrants in the football space for the country and beyond.

According to Bernard Korle, the Foundation have put in place a comprehensive framework to identify the needs of the youth across the country particularly Gadangme to tap into potentials within them to enable them contribute their quota to the socio-economic growth and development of the country.

“The Foundation will continue to explore the needs of the youth and address their challenges since they are the future leaders of the country”, he said.

Receiving the vehicle, the President of Gadangme Youth Association Nii Ayaafio Tetteh I, Oblantai Mantse expressed his profound gratitude to Dr. Daniel Mckorley for his kind gesture and commended the management of the Foundation for their excellent works in supporting the youth.

“The works of the Foundation cannot be measured and I applause the hardworking team of the Foundation for their initiatives and the financial support to the youth towards their start-ups for trading in their entrepreneurship drive”, he added.
