Management of the Ghana Broadcasting Corporation has presented brand new HP Laptops to the Keta Senior High Technical School National Science and Maths Quiz finalists led by Francisca Lamini.
The generous gesture was made in recognition of their excellent performance in the recently concluded edition of the Competition, in which they won bronze.
Again, GBC’s gesture represents the Public Service Broadcasters’ role in supporting education in Ghana.
Director of Corporate Affairs of the Ghana Broadcasting Corporation, Mamle Asare made the presentation to the students on the GTV Breakfast Show on November 30, 2021.
“GBC Management and staff we think you have done very, very well and to encourage you to study very hard so we are giving you Laptops, they are learning tools and we hope that you use them to soar higher, congratulations”.
The students were overjoyed for the honor and thanked GBC Management for the recognition.
The contestants successfully represented Keta SHTS in the 2021 NSMQ and advanced to the grand finale, making the school the first in the Volta Region to do so, since the Competition’s inception.
They finished third, but have been praised by many for accomplishing such a feat in the Contest’s history, with Francisca, in particular, winning the public’s admiration.
