Jacob Osei Yeboah

Friends, Ghanaians, countrymen, lend me your ears;
I come to bury Sam Jonah in the culture of silence, not to praise him.
The bad luck of AGC hedging that Sam Jonah risked with the intent of survival lives after him;

The good is oft interred with their bones;
So let it be with Sam Jonah. The noble Nana-Bawumia
Hath told Ghanaians Sam Jonah is unreasonable or is not qualified to point to the government that Ghana is at the bottom of progressive Escalator of good governance:
If it were so, it was a grievous fault,
And grievously hath Sam Jonah answered it with vilifications from “Attacking Dogs” of noble Nana-Bawumia government.
Here, under leave of Nana-Bawumia and the Attacking Dogs”–
For Nana-Bawumia is an honourable government;
So are they all, all honourable “Attacking Dogs” of party and state security apparatus–
Come I to speak in Sam Jonah’s culture of silence funeral.
Sam Jonah was my Board Chairman when I served as a board member from 1996-2002, Sam Jonah was faithful to the aspirations and development of Ghanaians and just to me:
But Nana-Bawumia says Sam Jonah has also been unreasonable in the past;
And Nana-Bawumia is an honourable government.
Sam Jonah repackaged AGC through the governments of Rawlings and Kufuor and made her a beautiful Bride that Grooms of Randgold and Anglogold rivaled for her love;

Did this in Sam Jonah seem unreasonable or courage to turn the tides in the face of adversity?
When that the unemployed have cried, Sam Jonah hath brought his partner Investors:

Yet Nana-Bawumia says Sam Jonah was unreasonable;
And Nana-Bawumia is an honourable government.

You all did see that on the political landscape
Rawlings thrice presented to Sam Jonah a kingly crown, Which he did thrice refuse: was this unreasonable when Sam Jonah desired rather to help create businesses in Ghana?
Yet Nana-Bawumia says Sam Jonah was unreasonable;
And, sure, Nana-Bawumia is an honourable government.
I speak not to disprove what Nana-Bawumia spoke through the “Attacking Dogs”,
But here I am to speak what I do know.
You all did love Sam Jonah once, not without cause but the fact that he was the first Blackman to competently head a large scale mine operations:
What cause withholds you then, to mourn for Sam Jonah when honourable Nana-Bawumia government inter his bones in culture of silence?
O judgment! thou art fled to brutish beasts of Nana-Bawumia “attacking Dogs”,
And men have lost their reason . Bear with me;
My heart is in the coffin there with Sam Jonah in culture of silence,
And I must pause till it comes back to me.

Sir Sam Jonah write up cut deep across Ghana that is indeed down or at the bottom of an UP or progressive governance Escalator. The thrust of the reflections is that Ghana which is in a state of torn pieces of mirage of bad governance challenges, has the option of putting the torn pieces together. So we can stand on the UP Escalator of progressive governance towards national development.

The reactions of both old and young crafts attacking dogs were reinforcing the same phenomenon that has created the culture of silence they are in denial.

ONE would have thought that a nation that is on the UP Escalator of progressive governance would have rather find the best solutions to the challenges facing the nation that no one can deny including the government.
The mirage of challenges facing the nation are not that of the government of Nana-Bawumia only but also all of us as citizens and not Spectators.

The same manner of untruth and nonfactual political allegations perpetrated by Nana-Bawumia in opposition are now being prosecuted by same. The irony is that it is against some of the same journalists they used. The criminal libel repealed law is being reintroduction through despotic character of civilian government .

Nana-Bawumia government has acted at variance to all democratic governance with endemic corruption. A situation which has gradually turned the character of Nana-Bawumia government into despotic governance. The government living in fear of her own shadows get shivering with a social media post of a constitutional lawyer, Oliver Bamawor, intending to make coup. The pitiable state security apparatus with bogus Judiciary tactics that has no mandate to grant bail but ironically has rather the mandate to pronounce treasonable charges of first degree felony to Oliver and to remand him for two weeks. This is stupidity against the judicial principle of fairness and same character frightening Nana-Bawumia. The same Social Media has evidence of youth leaders who have made the same coup comments on LGBTQI Bill before Parliament.

What evil and sense of insecurity that are culminating Nana-Bawumia government an act of using sledge hammer of state apparatus to kill an Ant of social media comment? What felony is less serious with a call of civil war of All-die-be-die or Do-or-die comments by President Nana and Former President John Dramani? Can’t IGP Dampare order the same Police to make arrest for all such three comments are in the past?

A constitutional lawyer, Oliver Bamawor, whose training makes him an expert to use his brain and pen to make coup to overthrow bad policies such as ELevy can cause such a massive shiver? Such pen and brain coup will of course make the Ghana army useless because it does not involve the use of guns. What is the big deal of this Don Quixotic treason charges?

If Nana-Bawumia government knows her conduct that can necessitate military coup, why not stop 🛑 to reinforce such justification?

The UP escalator is stopped and not only is Nana-Bawumia government at the bottom in the 4th Republic , but the up good governance Escalator is also reversing into deep bottomless pit.
The voices of sound reasoning should not be silent until Ghana youth decide to arise with a force similar but more dreaded than Arab Spring.
