Sherry Ayitey

A member of the main opposition NDC, Tante Louise has urged NDC delegates to vote en masse against people like Hon. Hanny Sherry Ayitey in the upcoming NDC internal election.

Madam Tante Louise has observed with deep worry that some lazy national officers are panicking ahead of yet another “cocoa season” for electoral delegates of the opposition National Democratic Congress.

According to all indicators, incumbent members of the National Officers of the opposition NDC are terrified and worried about whether they will be re-elected by delegates.

She claimed that despite receiving lucrative appointments from NDC governments for years, Mad. Hanny Sherry Ayitey, the current National Vice-Chairman of the party, is still not ready to join any reorganization or mobilization van to drive the NDC back to power in 2024 but she will be the first batch of people former president Mahama will be given an appointment.

She strongly encouraged NDC delegates to be more discerning and penalize people like Sherry Hanny Ayitey, who sits around waiting for bamboo to grow so that monkeys can chop.

She added that the cycle of neglecting the grassroots and then returning to buy them with money intended for previous general elections should be broken.

She urged the party’s delegates to live up to the slogan “fear delegates” and expose people like Hon. Sherry Hanny Ayitey, who is always running for election due to lucrative government positions.

She went on to say that the 2024 election with the ruling NPP will be for men with balls and that delegates should vote for hardworking national executives to run the election, not Sherry Ayitey, who contest elections to sleep at home for rich jobs.

The crucial 2024 election with NPP in power must be made to be championed by men with balls, hard-working, and experienced National officers and not those that need positions to look for appointment should the party win the election and my other dear delegates don’t sell your vote to any pretender for a pittance and then return to mourn after they have disappointed you and us all.

Make good use of your voting power. Take the money and vote against them when they come with it; some of the money they will be giving you was meant for the 2020 elections, but they saved it for their own selfish goals, part of the remarks she made on her Facebook page yesterday, 16th of March, 2022 reads.

Enough is Enough for Madam Hanny Sherry Ayitey.
She was the former Minister for Environment, Science and Technology, former Minister for Fisheries and Aquaculture Development as well as the Minister for Health from February 2013 to June 2014. She is the National Vice Chairman of the party as we speak today.

These are some of the elements who are unaware of our grassroots reorganizations and mobilization; she is one of the persons who do nothing to help the party gain power in that regard but receives lucrative government appointments.

When considering who to give the nod in the impending National election to safeguard the image of our party, represent the grassroots, be the voice for the voiceless, hope for the hopeless, and put the party first in all his/her undertakings, we should always consider a healthy strategic and adventurous personalities.

The youth of the party forms the major stakeholders of the party, but they’ve very insignificant representation in decision-making. Going forward, we must vote to retain the hardworking National officers that are showing commitment, enthusiasm, and loyalty that founded the party.

The party delegates must be prepared to look at how well equipped the candidates for any of the positions are with great imaginative ideas to champion the course of reshaping the NDC to make it more attractive to the masses out there.

Take the money and vote against them when they come with it; some of the money they will be giving you was meant for the 2020 elections, but they saved it for their own selfish goals. This is the time to express your rage and fury at their self-serving motives and the suffering they have caused us.

You, the delegates, have a key say in the decision-making process to defeat this administration and the NPP in the 2024 elections.
You and I  know that the party is still nursing wounds from its shocking defeat in the 2016 and 2020 presidential and legislative elections, which was caused by grassroots neglect, resulting in voter apathy and internal party strife that went unnoticed during the elections, and these reasons must necessitate the retention of hardworking, loyal, and committed National officers that are working day and night to put the grassroots together for victory in 2024 to man the election in 2024.
