The Member of Parliament (MP) for Salaga -South Constituency, Hon. Hajia Zuwera Mohammed Ibrahimah has donated assorted food items to Muslim communities within the East Gonja Municipality to show solidarity as Muslims observe this year’s Ramadan.

The items donated include bags of granulated sugar, cartons of cube sugar, Nido, Milo, and Lipton tea.

The gesture, according to the Salaga-South Legislator, forms part of her annual support to Muslims during the holy month of Ramadan.

The 300 bags of sugar will be distributed to identified needy constituents through the branches, community heads, traditional leaders, Imams, Queen-mothers, Opinion Leaders, Women groups, “Bases,” i.e. Youth groups, Public Institutions, and other Islamic groupings within the constituency.

Hon. Hajia Zuwera in her Ramadan message admonished Muslims to use this holy month to pray for our country to overcome the global pandemic and also pray for peace, tranquility and development of the constituency and the country at large.

Hon. Hajia Zuwera recognising the importance of Ramadan and its significance to peace and development has assured the Muslim ummah in the constituency of her commitment to their welfare as a Member of Parliament (MP).
