Boxing Coach Charles Quartey has called for massive investment in young boxers to make them focused, concentrate and love what they love to do.

Speaking to Yours Truly on Wednesday when the Vice President of the Ghana Boxing Federation, Mr. Dauda Fuseni paid a visit to his gym while training the national youth team, the Black Rockets, he expressed that many people love boxing in Ghana, hence there must be real massive investment in the boxers and equipment.

He noted that the 25 young boxers who are in non-residential camping need so many things as the game has changed from the past.

“We need modern equipment and funds to make the boys happy to remain in the sport, and not to quit, because boxing can change their lives,” he said.

According to the ace coach, all the youth boxers in the national junior team are attending school, however, some come from poor homes, and need to be supported.

He thanked Mr. Dauda Fuseni for his love and commitment to supporting the young boxers.

He appealed to people who appreciate the efforts of boxing coaches and managers to invest in boxing because it is one of the fastest ways to make big money.

He noted that the future of Ghana Boxing is very bright because the nation has a stock of skillful and talented boxers who are willing to make name for themselves and their country.
