News went viral yesterday that Tereo Marhguy, the celebrity Achimota Rasta student’s father had been beaten by his son, Tyrone Marhguy.

This was fueled by a video recorded by the seemingly distressed father.

In an interview with the father, he bemoaned the situation of Ghanaian journalists only giving premium to bad news and throwing away positive news.

“One half of the Achimota Rastas now at GIS, Oheneba Nkrabea was awarded the best behaved student in his school at GIS over a week ago and the media totally ignored this great feat. A Rasta awarded for best behaviour in a non-rasta school?

It is too much for the media to carry.”Tereo intimated passionately.” I thought about this and decided to think.. So if it was bad news like ‘bad behaviour’ how will the media carry it? And, true to my Judgement, the media in Ghana has affirmed our fears”.

Tereo said he joined hands with the father of Oheneba, Raswad Nkrabea to put together a short skit to chastise the negative news media and, as a rehearsal, he recorded his portion of the act and sent to a few people including the director to see how he fared. The rest is history.

“My son is a great son. If there is an angel in my house, then that is Tyrone. He hardly talks. Can a little boy like this beat a big soldier like me?” Tereo quizzed.

Tyrone has confirmed this amidst laughter and was seen today in school going about his routine happily.
