Alhaji Said Sinare

The National Democratic Congress’s outspoken National Vice Chairman, H.E Alhaji Said Sinare also known as Accra Zongo Boy or the NDC’s Zongo President, has expressed his disappointment with the government’s refusal to compromise on continuing with the National Cathedral project despite the country’s economic difficulties.

H.E Alhaji Said Sinare, in a statement published on his official Facebook page monitored by the media, said a cathedral built on the tears of poor souls will not please the Almighty God.

“It is so venomous to use taxes paid by suffering Kayayees, peasant farmers, teachers, and the poor, suffering Ghanaians to fulfill a personal promise to God whilst we announce that there is no money to pay trainees’ allowances, 97 pesewas per child school feeding fee, Nabco trainees, and to stock the schools with teaching and learning materials,” part of his statement read.

The outspoken and fearless politician has described the mandated 8 years of President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo as a monumental failure and wasted years of the country’s destiny. We have wasted another eight years of the country’s destiny,” he added.

“Under normal circumstances, Ghanaians should not be made to suffer because President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo wants to fulfill his personal promise to his God, and I don’t know who is doing the thinking for the entire government considering the economic crisis of the country,” he furiously added.

The former Awayaso Central lawmaker and the Ambassador to Saudi Arabia under the erstwhile John Mahama-led NDC government have called on all and sundry to register as a member of the National Democratic Congress (NDC).
