The Vice-Chairman of the Akatsi All-Stars Supporters Union, Mr. Japhet Festus Gbede, congratulated the Anthony Solo-Adoteivi-led Akatsi All-Stars for winning their matchday 30 game, giving the team a chance in the next season of the Division One league on behalf of the 2000-based supporters union.

A statement signed by the Vibrant Vice Chairman of the Association said the success of Akatsi All-Stars at the end of the just-ended season was a clear demonstration of good managerial skills and personal commitment on the part of the playing body.

According to the statement, Akatsi All-Stars have also proven that they are giants in Ghanaian football and important to the game’s development in the region and, as a result, the country.

He urged the team to stay focused and not be distracted by their accomplishments, knowing that the task ahead could be even more difficult as they work towards sending the club to the Premier Division in the next season.

As representatives of the region that needs support from the government through the regional minister as motivation, “I am convinced that you will take steps to build a more formidable squad for the next season”, He stated.

Akatsi All-Stars FC were last Saturday crowned winners of the clash between them and the Kpando Hearts of Lions after the 30th week of Division one league matches played over the weekend with a 1:0 win.

The league’s success is the first in the history of the region in the past 13 years.

Following a 3-1 penalties win over Home Stars FC on the final day of the Volta Regional Football Association (VRFA) Super Middle League at the Ho Sports Stadium last year, Akatsi All-Stars were promoted to the National Division One League. Many did not believe Akatsi All-Stars would stay in the league during their first appearance, but the team has proven many wrong with a 6th place finish and 42 points on the league table.

JAPHET FESTUS GBEDE CONGRATULATES AKATSI ALL-STARS FC ON BEHALF OF THE SUPPORTERS UNION.

 —————————————-

On behalf of the Akatsi All Stars supporters, the Union Executive Committee, and the entire membership of the Association, I write to congratulate Akatsi All Stars FC for emerging as champions of their week-day 30 games.

I am convinced that Akatsi All Stars FC’s success is the result of the hard work, commitment, dedication, and collective efforts of the Board of Directors, management, supporters, technical team, and playing body.

The team’s journey was never easy, as they had never won a division one league title before, but they were able to achieve success through sheer passion and hard work.

When the going got tough due to the departure of some players, coaches, and social media protests, the entire Akatsi All Stars FC family came together and remained steadfast in their pursuit of glory.

I am not surprised that at the end of the season, Akatsi All Stars FC triumphed over the rest to remain in the best position on the league table for the next season.

I am also pleased with the excitement that characterized the league following the rejuvenation of the Akatsi All-Stars, and I hope that it will be sustained in the coming season.

It was indeed a defining moment in Ghana’s football and a demonstration of the fact that Akatsi All-Stars is one of the biggest and greatest clubs in the country with the slogan “monitor Miatoe”.

However, due to the significant financial burden associated with club participation in division one leagues, I urge the government to provide financial assistance to the club in order to alleviate the burden and ensure their successful participation in the competition the following season.

May I take this opportunity to once again appeal to scouts and football agents, not to forget the Akatsi All-Stars, as they seek to equip their international football clubs with the best and most talented players for the upcoming season.

I hope that the government, through the Volta Regional Minister, will hear the rallying cry and support the team for the upcoming season, as the Akatsi All-Stars set an unbreakable record for the region as a way of motivation.

Once again, I say ayeekooooo to the entire Akatsi All-Stars family and our wonderful legends.

Signed

Japhet Festus Gbede

Vice-Chairman, Akatsi All Stars Supporters Union.
