The first-ever organized Pillow Fighting Championship comes off on Sunday 10th July 2022 at the Mamprobi Girls’ School Astro Turf pitch in Accra.
Baffour Acheampong Prince, Managing Director of ROCKSURE Energy and CEO of TJC Global Energy Limited will be the august personality to chair the event.
He commended the organisers for finding new sports programs for Ghanaians as there are only a few activities for leisure and entertainment, so people do other things that make them dull or inactive.
He called on corporate Ghana to support such programs that can make people famous and rich.
Pillow Fight Championship is in Ghana, courtesy of Dreamland Sports Plus and the new combat sport for slumber party pros will for the first time take place at Mamprobi and Chorkor, as residents want to feel and see the new action in the ring.
The matches will involve grown adults who will enter a ring and bludgeon one another with specialized pillows. It is part of the Sala Festival for 2022.
Dreamland Sports Plus CEO Mr. Emmanuel Olla Williams said he is expecting an action-packed event and promised to organize another tournament at the Ada Asafotu Festival.
Mr. Emmanuel Olla Williams who is Youth Coordinator of the Ghana Olympic Committee has in the past organized the Road Baton Race, Kids Olympic Games, and other events in Ghana.
The PFC Pillow Fight Championship has been sanctioned by the international body headed by Mr. Steve Williams who has promised to support Ghana as the first nation in Africa to officially organised the exciting sport.
The day will feature side attractions like juvenile boxing and musicians will also perform on the 10th of July, 2022.
