Amid the aura of love and appreciation that surrounded the couples who have for decades forborne each other, former President of the Republic, John Dramani Mahama, has taken to social media to laud his wife.

The National Democratic Congress’ three times consecutively elected flagbearer has been married to Madam Lordina Mahama for the past three decades.

The year 2022 marks the diamond anniversary for the couple which they have marked in grande style, symbolised by the construction and commissioning of a 45-bed capacity maternity and children ward for the Borle Hospital in the Savannah Region.

John and Lordina, celebrating the marriage, have also been posting love-filled messages on their social media pages for each other.

In the latest, John Dramani Mahama indicated on Facebook his conviction that he was created to love the former First Lady till doomsday.

“I was created to lover Her for life,” the post read, adding, “Thank you for 30 years of true love experience, Lordina Mahama”.

Meanwhile, some followers including party stalwarts have been reacting to the post.

The Member of Parliament for Madina Constituency, Francis-Xavier Sosu was pleased that the lives of the couple was worth emulating.

“Oh man… this is so so cool and very inspirational to young couples like us. Thanks for being a shining example to us. We love ❤️ you and God bless your union,” the legislator wrote.

Haruna Iddrisu the NDC caucus leader in Parliament also commented, saying, “Perfect match, May Allah(God) bless and protect your marriage.”

Others including Solomon Abotiyire Anafo said “And you both become a gift to humanity and mother Ghana 🇬🇭. We are taking very inspirational lessons from you every day.”

Eunice Norman, a follower, wrote: “This is beautiful real love be that ooooo Papa chop love wai. Mum thank you very much for being there for our dad God bless you. The love is deep.”
