It’s Day 5 at the Birmingham 2022 Commonwealth Games where we have a packed line-up.

In Boxing, Yaw Addo and Joseph Commey are both in action for the Black Bombers at the NEC Boxing Centre.

Commey will be looking to book his place in the quarter-finals of his weight category when he climbs into the ring for bout number 6 which is around 1:30 pm local time.

Yaw Addo is billed for bout number 1 in the late afternoon session which will roll on up until 630pm when the Ghanaian is expected to enter the ring.

In swimming, Abeiku Jackson has just qualified to the semi-finals of his event- the 100 meters butterfly.

In a very tough pool consisting of the Australian champion Cody Simpson, the British pair of Thomas Taylor and Jamie Ingram as well as the Canadian Knox Finlay, the 22 year old Ghana Swimming captain managed to qualify in a time of 53:60 seconds.

Jackson will be back in action for the semis this evening which starts from 19:55 GMT.

In Beach Volleyball, the Black Spikers will be going all out for Team Ghana when they play New Zealand at the Smithfield Arena 19:30 GMT

Later this afternoon, Ghana’s top cyclist  Emmanuel Sackey will be in action at the spectacular Lee Valley Velodrome where he hopes to make an impact for Team Ghana in Cycling.

On Tuesday there are some key heat for our girls starting with

Zaira Forson in the tough 200 metres Butterfly at 10:42am….very time specific.

Immediately after that Abeiku Jackson will be in the pool again for the 50 metres Freestyle at 10:55am

Another starlet Nubia Adjei then takes her turn in the specialized 50 metres Backstroke which is scheduled for 11:10am.
