As part of activities to socialise and interact with citizens of the MTN Media Republic every quarter of the year, President Ankilu and Cabinet Ministers as well as Council of State members organised a Health Walk from Ayi Mensah to Aburi last Saturday.

They climbed the Aburi Hills and descended ending at the Aburi Botanical Garden for an aerobics session and refreshments.

In a special Tug of War competition, Sports Writers Association of Ghana (SWAG) members in the Republic pulled their colleagues in Business and Telecommunications twice.

Bleoobi Michael Amankwaa alias Don Miller who was specially invited to talk on the benefits of walking and living a healthy lifestyle encouraged participants to keep on doing Physical activities, be Mentally focused and sound, that is having a positive mindset, be Spiritual and Emotional.

He leads the Mental Catalyst Group which will soon join the MTN Media Republic to climb Mountain Afadzato in the Volta Region, the tallest height in Ghana, and Mountain Kilimanjaro in East Africa.

He urged the Republic members to read a lot and choose to be successful by being in charge of their lives, through patience, endurance, and pace.

“Life is about big dreams, finding your purpose in life and you be happy and fit always,” he said.

He advised daily walking and a bit of exercise, “Create time for the things that matter,” he added.

The exciting experience attracted a good number of members of the MTN Republic who expressed joy and satisfaction after the aerobics session led by Jay from La.

Among dignitaries of the Republic who graced the fitness event, and were inspired were EC Hon Nana Kwesi Gyan Apenteng, Hon Clarence of TouchPoint, Hon. Gina, Hon. Afua, Hon Efua, Hon Olivia, Hon Klutse, Hon Dowuona, Hon. Johnny, Hon Andy, Hon Nii Maale-Adsei, Sulley, and SWAG Secretary General Charles Osei Asibey who was recently elected President of the African Armwrestling Federation.
