Credible information available to the media indicates that the immediate past Ghana Ambassador to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia under the erstwhile National Democratic Congress (NDC) administration, Alhaji Said Sinare, has announced his decision to withdraw from the party’s upcoming national vice chairmanship contest.
In a Facebook post, Mr. Japhet Festus Gbede who is a special aide to H.E Alhaji Sinare told this news portal that the vociferous politician who was once a Member of Parliament for Ayawaso Central Action was a necessary but painful decision that has been lauded by circumstances beyond their control, but they see it as putting the party first.
He indicated that Ambassador Sinare’s Zongo for NDC vehicle, which was seen and described as a thorn in the flesh of the then opposition New Patriotic Party’s (NPP) flag bearer, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, will soon be seen across the country for the best interest of the NDC.
While H.E. Alhaji Said Sinare promises to remain loyal, committed, and dedicated to the NDC’s direction, he challenges his numerous supporters to do the same.
I fear that the best course of action is for me to withdraw my nomination and pledge my unwavering support to ensure that H.E John Dramani Mahama is elected the next president of Ghana in 2024, he added.
He proceeded to state that, although I think I have a lot to offer in terms of achieving my vice chairmanship goal, it is equally crucial that I use all of the knowledge, experience, loyalty, dedication, and hard work I possess to help my great party, the National Democratic Congress, out of its current predicament.
As I get ready to come out strongly with a move for the JD Mahama campaign, I want to take this opportunity to urge my supporters, friends, and families to stay committed to the direction of the NDC, part of his statement read.
Comrades, I hereby formally resign from consideration for the vice chairmanship.
The sun will rise again!

I regret to inform members of the National Democratic Congress of my boss Alhaji Said Sinare’s, decision to withdraw from the upcoming national vice chairmanship election.
This necessary but painful decision has been lauded by circumstances beyond our control, but we see it as putting the party first.
I urge his many supporters across the country to be cooperative as he plans a movement that will shake the ground in the best interests of the NDC and JD Mahama in 2024.
As we prepare to elect our next national officers, it is our prayer that we elect a national chairman that will have the will and the interest of the rank and file of the party at heart and make unity a hallmark as we forge into a crucial election in 2024.
Thank you.
Signed
