This move is also meant to establish that the Chinese deserve commendation and praise for doing so much for Ghana.

It would be recalled that Ghana’s Defence Ministry Office Complex was officially commissioned and handed over to the Government of Ghana on Wednesday 23rd December 2009 by the then Vice President, John Dramani Mahama.

“The Chinese government blessed Ghana Government with this project. This was a USD $50 Million Dollar grant project. It contains 120 rooms building constructed by the Qing Dao Construction and Development Limited of China and it took 18 months to complete it.”

According to Captain Smart, this project came to fruition due to the goodwill that existed between the Ghana government and the People’s Republic of China as well as the strategic involvement of the Former Defence Minister, Dr. Kwame Addo Kufuor.

He commended the administration of ex-President J.A Kufuor for its initiative of starting the project.
