Last year alone, Ghanaian Disc Jockey, Samuel Opoku Adom showbiz name AD DJ did some amazing work as he almost played at 60 different events.

Some of the events he played at included Afrochella (Afro Future), Beats Friday, Lucid, Imss, Soul Food Sunday, Stwedding, Neon Night, Retro Set, The Warm Up, On A Tuesday, Blends, Beats Friday, and Passport Vibes Ghana.

Not to leave out La Culture, Amapiano Brunch, NYE party – Kozo, Dankie Sounds, Saba Tani Party, and Twist Nightclub amongst others.

Speaking in an interview with Graphic Showbiz, the DJ said he gets called for all these shows and parties because of his hard work and connections.

“You need to be hard working and with the right connections, you get all the shows running to you. I believe my hard work is what has brought me this far and I am looking forward to playing international gigs as well,” he said.
Asked if the work pays, AD DJ said it does but depending on the right venues and the promoters it makes it a calm-paying job.

AD DJ shot to fame in 2014 when he joined Ghana’s leading urban music and entertainment station, YFM, as a Radio DJ. He played on Accra’s biggest on-air youth radio program, YCampus Express show for 8 years, after which he snagged a new segment, SHOUTSONY.

He is also a Resident DJ at Front/Back Accra, Ghana’s top members-only club which is a favorite hangout hub for big global superstars such as Kendrick Lamar and Chance The Rapper.

AD DJ was a nominee at the Ghana Entertainment Awards, USA for Best DJ Act, 2022. His craft transcends DJing. As a playlist curator and artiste, he has worked on Pop & Afrobeat singles; “Turnop ft Shayd” and “Wavey ft FloEazy”.

In 2022, AD brought into reality a dream of Musical Experience, YOU KNOW THE FUCKIN’ VIBE (YKTFV). Which has had a relatively impressive turnout from inception. A movement that seeks to connect everyone with music from Ghana and beyond.
