HAPPY INTERNATIONAL WOMEN’S DAY
We wish to salute all women journalists in the region as we mark this year’s International Women’s Day.
We, as a chapter, is oblivious of the pivotal role you play in news gathering and dissemination, sometimes, at the peril of your lives just to ensure that we get the news.
The chapter is not only proud of your exploits but we also wish to encourage you to continue to discharge your duties without fear or favour.
We are always ready to stand with you all the way to ensure that you are not exposed to dangers that can hamper your progress and your quest to educate, inform and entertain.
Finally, we hope to see more women placed in higher positions in the various media houses in the region as part of efforts to close the gender gap.
