The front runner in the impending primaries of the NDC in the Wa Central Constituency, Alhaji Hudu Mogtari appears set to dislodge his main contender and incumbent Member of Parliament, Hon Rashid Pelpuo at the upcoming elections slated for the 13th of May, 2023.

The former CEO of the Food and Drugs Authority, Alhaji Mogtari is seen as the man with the potential and acumen to better serve the needs and aspirations of  the Wa Central Constituency which has not lived up to its name since the inception of the Fourth Republic as the biggest constituency in the Upper West Region.

Political observers and constituents are unimpressed about the performance of the incumbent Member of Parliament who has been in Parliament for the past two decades but has nothing to show for his stewardship as he is unable to coin a message to the discerning delegates of the Constituency in his quest for a sixth term.

The largely disappointed and disillusioned party delegates and constituents are not enthused by campaign message hinged on the constant refrain of an opportunity to be made a cabinet minister in the next regime of a possible NDC government to better serve the constituency..

The question on their lips is what he has to show for the Ministerial Portfolios he occupied in the previous NDC regime.

It is becoming increasingly clear that the quest for change in the Constituency is quite resounding and is resonating so well with majority of the delegates who have set their sights on giving Alhaji Hudu Mogtari the opportunity this time around.
