JOHN MAHAMA IS A THREAT TO THE RULE OF LAW—NPP GERMANY
NPP Germany joins the Ghana Bar Association (GBA) to condemn former President John Mahama and the NDC over subtle moves and attempts to stain Ghana’s judiciary and the justice system at large with his selfish political agenda.
Former President John Mahama has demonstrated so far that he is at his reckless peak of political polarization and desperation.
His recent attacks on the judiciary when he rallied NDC Lawyers asking them to brace themselves to fill and infiltrate the judiciary because the NPP has done so, smacks of judicial treason.
John Mahama should know that partisanship in the justice system can contribute to societal polarization and division.
When justice is perceived as being influenced by political agendas, it can deepen existing divisions and create further mistrust between different groups within society.
NPP Germany is saddened that a stateman like John Mahama, who is expected to know better, has lost sight of the fact that it is important to strive for an independent and impartial justice system that upholds the principles of fairness and equality.
John Mahama is on a mission to openly make the judiciary so partisan without taking into account that it can erode public trust and confidence in the fairness and impartiality of the legal process.
As a matter of fact, this dangerous trend John Mahama is desperately clamouring for can lead to widespread imbalance and a lack of faith in the system’s ability to deliver justice.
John Mahama should be constantly reminded that partisanship can result in biased decision-making where judgments are influenced by political affiliations or personal beliefs rather than the merits of substantive cases.
This action would obviously compromise the principles of equal treatment under the law and can lead to unjust outcomes.
John Mahama has continuously proved that he is still empty and has nothing progressive to offer Ghanaians even in opposition.
The implications of John Mahama’s call is likely to lead to a diminished credibility of the judiciary and the justice system.
John Mahama is more than determined to undermine the credibility of the justice system as an independent and impartial institution.
This is why Ghanaians must constantly be educated and sensitised about the dangers of voting back John Mahama into political power. Indeed, voting John Mahama back in 2024 is a complete waste of time.
We will continue to urge the good people of Ghana to vote NPP and break the 8 in order to retain the NPP so that the next NPP administration in the helm of governance will continue to give off its best.
