The St. Augustine’s College Past Students Union, APSU 1978 year group has presented a citation to Mr Samuel Seddoh, a former headmaster of their alma mater.

The wording of the citation distinctly captures the transformative role that the 87-year-old educationist has played in their lives.

Mr Seddoh, himself an APSUian, is a member of the class of 1955.

He headed the institution from 1969 – 1976. Prior to this, he taught biology at the sixth form level.

The presentation took place on Wednesday, September 20th, as part of a Memorial & Thanksgiving Mass, and reception held at the Christ the King Catholic, to mark 50 years of their entering Augusco.

Mr Seddoh who was in the company of his dear wife, Auntie Evelyn, thanked his former students for the honour done him.

He urged them to keep striving to be the best in their various endeavours.

Mr. Seddoh was the headmaster who admitted the ‘78 cohort in September 1973, as freshers.

The anniversary activity was attended by a cross section of APSUnians, including some from the APSU, 1955, 1956 & 1957 year groups. Also present were their ‘78 year counterparts from Holy Child Past Students Association (HOPSA) and Archbishop Porter Past Students Association (APPSA).

Dr. Anthony Ernest Osei, APSU Global President and Eric Atta-Sonno, APSU National Secretary, attended the event.

In all, three past Augusco school prefects graced the occasion – Jojo Enstuah (‘75), Joseph Aduhene (‘78) and Dr Anthony Osei (‘80).

The celebrants presented a cheque of GHS 50,000 to the school to commemorate their anniversary.
