Ghana has been handed a tough group h for the 2023 Total Energies Africa Cup of Nations to be staged in Ivory Coast early next year.
The Black Stars were paired with the most successful country of the tournament Egypt, Cape Verde and Mozambique following the Thursday evening draw in Abidjan.
Ghana’s quest to win the first AFCON glory since 1982 starts with an opening game against Cape Verde on Sunday 14 January, 2023 before playing Egypt on Thursday 18, January 2023 and then Mozambique to wrap the group games Felix Houphouet Boigny Stadium in Abidjan on Monday January 22, 2023.
The 4 teams in the group will battle it out for 2 top spots in the group to qualify for the knockout stage.
