In a scathing critique, H.E. Alhaji Said Sinare, National Chairman of the Zongo Caucus Working Committee of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), has lambasted the potential pairing of Matthew Opoku Prempeh (Napo) with Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia as candidates for the NPP  ahead of  the 2024 General Elections.

On his official Twitter page, The former Lawmaker and the former Ambassador to the Kingdom of Egypt and Saudi Arabia, H.E Alhaji Sinare has expressed his stern disapproval of the potential ticket, stating that Napo has squandered his goodwill through arrogance, and that Dr. Bawumia has proven himself to be a political liability, likening him to an “albatross around the neck of Ghanaians”.

According to Alhaji Sinare, the combination of Napo’s perceived arrogance and Dr. Bawumia’s incompetence would spell disaster for Ghana if Ghanaians mistakenly retain the NPP, and that the duo’s potential pairing is a liability that the country cannot afford.

“The potential pairing of Napo and Bawumia is a toxic combination that would spell doom for Ghana,” Alhaji Sinare stated when speaking to the media.

“Napo’s arrogance has alienated him from the people, and Dr. Bawumia’s incompetence has made him a political liability. Ghanaians deserve better than this.”

Alhaji Sinare’s comments have sparked a heated debate in the political landscape, with many agreeing with his assessment of the potential ticket.

The NDC chairman’s statement has also drawn attention to the importance of leadership and the need for competent and humble leaders who prioritize the needs of the people.
