Diploma holders practicing as teachers in the education sector of Ghana have expressed their outright dissatisfaction and disapproval over the selection of the Minister of Energy, Dr Matthew Opoku Prempeh, popularly known as NAPO, as the Running Mate of the ruling New Patriotic Party.
The aggrieved teachers are still unhappy about what they describe as disrespect by Dr. Opoku Prempeh.
About four years ago, a video of the minister suggesting that the diploma holders went to the colleges of education with the worst grades went viral on social media.
The video which also sparked outrage and anger among a section of the public has resurfaced after the diploma holders revived their anger over those remarks by the Energy Minister.
The teachers have taken to social media to vow to vote against the NPP in December 2024 because of Dr. Opoku Prempeh as they describe him as ignorant, rude and disrespectful.
