The Public Services Workers Union (PSWU) of TUC hosted a 2-day capacity building workshop for its TVET Service’s Regional Union Officers to sensitize them on the migration of employees of the erstwhile amalgamated 11 agencies to the TVET Scheme of Service and the core mandate of the union

The event, held on September 6-7, 2024 (Thursday and Friday), was graced by esteemed guests, including Mr. David Prah, Director General of TVET Service, and Alice Akorfa Dolley (Esq), Director of Human Resource Development.

Mr. Prah commended the leadership of PSWU for their involvement in the migration process and successful implementation of the Scheme of Service.

He assured the union of his commitment to making TVET Service one of the best agencies.

The Director General encouraged members to have faith in management, as they work hand-in-hand with leadership of PSWU for even better conditions of service

Madam Alice Dolley delivered a comprehensive presentation on the TVET Service’s Organogram, migration process, and Scheme of Service.

She also addressed questions from the audience, providing clarity on key issues.

The Director of HR assured that all issues would be meticulously addressed upon receipt of official complaints.

The workshop aimed to equip TVET Regional PSWU Officers with the necessary knowledge and skills to appreciate the migration process and Scheme of Service to benefit the General Membership.

It also enhanced participants’ understanding of how PSWU advocates for improved working conditions and reaffirmed its dedication to empowering members.
