The 24-Hour Economy and Accelerated Export Development Secretariat today held a strategic engagement with Members of Parliament from the Northern and Savannah Regions Caucus to brief them on the ongoing implementation of the 24-Hour Economy Programme.

The meeting, held within the precincts of Parliament House, forms part of the Secretariat’s stakeholder engagement strategy aimed at deepening understanding, strengthening partnerships, and ensuring regional representation in the roll-out of the government’s economic transformation agenda.

Leading the briefing was Dr. Ishmael Nii Amanor Dodoo, Head of Innovative Finance, Markets and Partnerships at the Secretariat who outlined how the 24-Hour Economy is being positioned to stimulate job creation, enhance productivity, and attract private sector investment.

He gave a detailed presentation on the 24H+ Initiative and explained how it seeks to build regional value chains, support agro-industrial hubs, and improve Ghana’s non-traditional export performance.

The feedback from the MPs was overwhelmingly positive.

Members expressed appreciation for the government’s inclusive approach and called for timely implementation in their respective constituencies.

The MPs assured the Secretariat of their full support and pledged to serve as ambassadors of the programmes at their constituencies.
