In what the NDC activist from the Ho Central Constituency described as a dramatic display of electoral events, Oscar Bedzra though condemned the series of electoral violence that marred the Ablekuma North rerun of the parliamentary elections, mocked the former MP and Minister of Fisheries Hon Hawa Koomson.
When asked how he could best described the nature of violence, Oscar Bedzra singled out Hawa Koomson, describing a point where he was run into , as a case of the popular entertainment show, W.W.E wrestling .
“In fact, Hon. Hawa Koomson’s situation at the polling station where he was suddenly run into by an unidentified thug felt just like the popular W.W.E Wrestling between two most world’s renowned wrestlers; John Cena and Undertaker”- Oscar Bedzra mocked.
“Her beating alongside that of the Deputy National Organiser of the opposition New Patriotic Party has thought me that, that, no matter how long it takes, electoral violence feels like a scar on the minds and hearts of others.
Who knows if what transpired was a result of her past actions and inactions perpetrated at Awutu Senya West constituency during the 2020 presidential and parliamentary elections..?” – the NDC activist asked.
He advised the youth to stay away from electoral violence and rather focus on building peace during, before, and after elections.
That Oscar Bedzra said is the surest way of building Ghana’s democracy.
