Chiefs and people of Danfa, Amrahia and Kweiman have expressed their displeasure about the conduct of some Akuffo Addo’s appointee over their resolve to expropriate lands released to them by the president last year, yet could not access it due to unnecessary interference by people with vested interest.

According to them, ever since the vice president Dr. Bawumia visited them and announced the release, followed by the issuance of whitepaper, he has never cared to ascertain whether lands commission has done the needful or otherwise.

They claim some of those trying to hijack lands released to them are saying that he the Vice president Dr. Bawumia is aware of their activities on the land.

“Dr. Bawumia is completely not the Bawumia we know. He is now majoring in minor issues and minoring in major issues which does not depict his hard earned integrity,” they disclosed.

Land is the most important livelihood asset for the majority of the Ghanaian people and an important factor of production and acceleration of development of the have-not, hence any government that deprived these vulnerable people of gaining access to their lands bequeathed to them by their ancestors cannot be seen as caring enough.

“We want to urgently draw government’s attention to the present happenings on lands released to us by the state in November last year without a plan that comes with whitepapers on land release due to the dishonest activities of some state actors on the land released, in variance to the directives of the president, His Excellency Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo” they explained.

They claim the very people the president has instructed to see to the successful handing over of the land released are bent on holding onto the release plan and cutting of the various boundaries for the three communities, being Danfa, Kweiman and Amrahia in a bid to conceal and protect their own interest to the detriment of the custodians of the lands. They fabricated mischievous stories to pave way for their grand agenda and greed to manifest.

“Surprisingly, the very portion released to us has been hijacked by few people at the blind side of the president,” they Assert. They however feel lied to by the second gentleman of the nation, Dr. Bawumia.

They alluded that lands on which Dairy farm was established were compulsorily acquired on the 5th of August 1970 from Kweiman, Danfa and Amrahia without payment of compensation promised, except for the farmers’ crops and other economic trees.

They are calling on the vice president Alhaji Mahamudu Bawumia to do the needful before they lose trust in him, since he was the very person the president delegated to announce the release to them at a durbar they were made to organize on behalf of the state.
